HOW I JOINED ARM ROBBERY UNKNOWINGLY

I joined the robbery gang for a reason. Though, it wasn’t intentional but I had to because that was what life could offer.

It was my fourth year in the university, where I studied “Medicine and surgery”.

I was very determined and focused in my studies, but the concentration started drifting  in my third year.

Mr. Abel, was assigned to me as my supervisor in my fourth year of studies. He was one of the lecturers I loved most.

Happily, I was glad to have him as one who will handle my project supervision.

But getting home to lay complaint on what is demanded of me to finish school.

I was left frustrated because the responds was not what I expected.

I returned back to school the next morning and it was nothing to smile for. So, I met with Gregory, a friend of mine who has always up and doing.

I was forced to draw close to him because of how good he appears. His dress, wrist watch, shoes, and the car he’s been driving to school caught my fantasy.

So, I met him that morning to complain my current situation as day for defense was almost near.

He was surprised to hear me say such and accepted helping me out, as he said  “What are friends for”.

It gladdens my heart that have met someone who will be able to be of help to me.

He told me to meet him in his lodge the following day.

So, I went to see him as agreed.  He welcomed me warmly, but here is what he said!

” I’m ready to be of help to you my friend, but there is what you need to do to access this favour.

” I’m sure you will love to be like me? He asked?

“If you are sure you want to live the kind of life I’m living, then come back this night and I will take you to where you will get all the money you’re looking for”.

I was blindly amazed by his sweet words but, I didn’t know what he was up to. So, I went back meeting with him that night.

I entered into his apartment, and few hours later other men came into the room. We were about seven(7) in number.

At a point, I was beginning to wonder what they came doing. Or does it mean my friend Gregory has started a tutorial class, lol  it was funny to me.

So, I asked him to know if truly he has started keeping class for other students who were not even studying our same course.

He jokingly smile and all of them joined him.

He said again to me that, he is taking me to where I will get all the money I’m demanding for. So, he brought out a big bag, and dusted it and took it to car.

Unknowingly, I wasn’t aware of what he put in the car boot, so he asked we should move to the car and all of us did as Gregory instructed.

Lo! and behold, it was a rich man house we arrived. And all I could remember was seeing myself rob another man.

Oh! I’m now a criminal unknowingly. My greed pushed me wrongly. I lacked the patience to wait.

_____ Greed is one thing that is killing us daily. All we do is demanding to be like another person without getting to know how and what the person we demand to look like is doing to survive.

Life may not offer you what you’re looking for currently. But, a little patience can make go far in life.

Greed kills, it turns a God-fearing person into an immoral being. Wait upon the Lord and take courage from his words daily.
